Powerbi datasource connection with databricks

In Powerbi desktop , connected to databricks

1.First time when I connected powerbi to databricks I selected the tables, later I  created few tables but in powerbi i was not able to  see the newly created tables  when i refreshed it .

2.Even when  I select new report it is asked to have  new connection  ...why this happened -powerbi is working differently

Please could you please clarify

  • Hisentini_123  Power BI initially loads only the selected schema from Databricks, so newly created tables won't appear unless you reconnect or add them manually. Each Power BI report requires a separate connection, as connections aren't shared across reports. To avoid this, use Direct Query mode for real-time updates or create a centralized Power BI dataset for shared use.

  • Okay ,Thankyou

Im confused here even we select Direct query also ,we should again reconnect to databricks to get newly added tables right,As per my understanding Directqquery is live conneciton to databricks whereas import is it will import the file and stored within powerbi.
