PowerBI not recognising date and time in data

Hi Guru's

I have data that is direct from Web Intellegence and one of my fields is in date and time.

Web intellegence formats my date and time like this:

7/10/2018 9:43:00 AM

When I upload my data to powerbi, I change the column format to date and time in the query but the format shows my date like this:

7/10/2018 00:00:00

No matter what I do it will not show the time.

Anyone know how to fix this?

format before I changed it was just Date

Hi @Anno2019 

You can not format date to datetime, as date type has no time, you can check when you importing the data if there is no separate time column or if one of the prior steps in Query Editor has not formated the datetime to date in the earlier stages.

The problem was the initial Change Type step.  I made the changes in the step and it worked perfectly.
