PowerBI Desktop hanging when running Direct Query models

I am currently using direct query to analyse some information on a Azure Database, basically the query ends really fast but PowerBI continues to show the message "Working on it..." forever...

Also added profiler to local SSAS instance to see if it was something there... but I don't see much happening and so I am stuck until I reset my connection.

Anyone experiencing this kind of behaviours? What can be causing this issue? It is very frustrating.

Were you loading large data from Azure Database? Please test whether issue persists if it has less data. 

Also, please try below things to troubleshoot this problem.

File -> Options and Settings -> Data Load, uncheck the highlighted options.

Use 64 bit Power BI Desktop to connect to your data source.
