I have created a Shared Datasource on PowerBI server (on premise).
This is SQL Server Datasource set to run under a service Account.
When I go to PowerBI Desktop, I do not see this datasource. What steps/options need to be taken for me to access this Datasource to build reports on?
Hi @Anonymous ,

Please clarify - do you use on-prem Power BI Report Server or cloud Power BI service?
We are using on Premise Power BI Server
1.6.7237.3007
I have used Power BI Destkop RS
2.76.5678.1521
Which allows me to connect to the server to open/save files/browse folders, but the Datasource I created on the server in a folder is not visible, viewable anywhere, either through file/open, or through the Datasources.
I am guessing this is not possible with POWERBI on permise server, to use the Datasources created on PowerBI server. Why does MS make this so difficult?
