PowerBI dataflow does not appear to handle any non-alphanumeric characters. If any of my data has -_., in them it is removed upon ingestion to the powerBI service.... Is there any way around this? This appears specifically to be a problem in DataFlows, it works as expected in PowerBI Desktop.
In order to display characters correctly, I'm having to type in a random string of numbers and then replace values after ingestion to get the correct format

Hey @parry2k , I pulled together some dummy data to screencap and share and... it worked fine. It works fine on other dataflows using the same data, so I'm guessing there's a cached issue with the one I am using. I have recreated it from scratch and everything seems to be working well!
Apologies for wasting your time, but I appreciate your response as it got me to the solution I needed!
Hi @PaulHet ,
Limitations about dataflows are as follows. Please check to see if some following restrictions affect the dataflow.

@PaulHet not sure I have seen this, seems odd. Can you throw sample data and share the steps you are performing on it, I would like to reproduce it at my end to look into it.
I would ❤ Kudos if my solution helped. 👉 If you can spend time posting the question, you can also make effort to give Kudos to whoever helped to solve your problem. It is a token of appreciation!
