Hi Team,
We are facing the below error..
DataSource.Error: ODBC: ERROR [HY000] [Simba][DSI] (20039) Cannot store "DynamoDB"."DynamoDB"."*****"."*******" value in temporary table without truncation. (Column metadata implied a maximum of 1024 bytes, while provided value is 1040 bytes)
Details:
DataSourceKind=Odbc
DataSourcePath=dsn=Simba DynamDB Amazon
OdbcErrors=[Table]
Any help to get rid of this and do we need to switch to the premium version?
Thanks and Regards
Sathish
Hi @SathishR ,
According to this error message, the columns imported into power bi has a maximum limit of 1024 bytes. And at least one of the columns in your database exceeds this maximum limit.
But according to this blog, the maximum character limit in Power BI is much more than that.
https://blog.crossjoin.co.uk/2019/05/17/maximum-length-text-value-power-bi/
Are you using 32-bit or 64-bit Power BI Desktop?
And what is the encoding format of the column in your database?
Best Regards,
Jay
We are not able to load the data from the database itself. Because of this , Column metadata implied a maximum of 1024 bytes, while provided value is 1040 bytes
