Power Query M - Conditional Column based on whether lookup column contains a list of items

I have used the Add Conditional Column process in M / Power Query, but would like to know if there is a way to condense this code to search for items in a list instead of using equals for all of the individual cases.

Example, instead of:

if         "code-code" = "COM" then "DOM"

else if "code-code" = "DOM" then "DOM"

else if "code-code" = "LOC" then "DOM"

something like this

if "code-code" in {"COM","DOM","LOC"} then "DOM"

Nothing that I have tried seems to work and I have searched documentation on MS Docs within Power BI, but have not found anything.

See Notepad of code here:

M search in list.png

Thanks.

Hi @JRHans09 ,

Sounds like you need List.Contains.Something like:

if List.Contains( {"COM","DOM","LOC"}, [code-code]} then "DOM"

Too easy. Sorry. I did not find that when searching through the docs. Thanks for your help - @AlB
