Power Query Formula.Firewall Error in Desktop

I’m seeing a 'Formula.Firewall' error when I try to refresh my query. The message says about combining data sources, even though both sources are actually from the same file. This just started happening, so I’m a bit unsure what triggered it.

@Mohit_009 Try the below approaches to resolve the issue.
1. Go to File -> Options and settings -> Data source settings, make sure both sources have the same privacy level  and then refresh the query.

2. You can enable ignore privacy levels option to bypass the privacy error.

@Mohit_009

try below steps

In Power BI Desktop

  1. File → Options and settings → Data source settings.
  2. Select each entry for that file → Edit Permissions.
  3. Set the same privacy level (e.g., Organizational) → OK.
  4. Refresh.

I think PQ throws that Firewall when the eval-scope slips inside the same file… if u open the query, hit Refresh Preview, set the Excel src to *Organizational*, and—if it still nags—add a tiny stg-hop so both reads stay in one context.
