I created a "Row-based KPIs" table using the custom Power KPI matrix. However, the KPI Category in below data table that I added to the visual Category is not showing up despite creating the relationship between this table and Actual Value table (by rows) using the KPI_ID.
Except for Category, all other headers - Date, Metric Name, Actual Value, Comparison Values (Target and Previous Month) and Variance are showing up as desired.
Also, I do not see 'Category' under the Format Visual unlike the sample PBI file with the instructions/explanations on the Power KPI matrix downloaded from the training video.
I am using the free latest Microsoft Power BI desktop version. My Actual Values for the KPI metrics are a mixture of data tables and measures.

I think you need some formats discussed using calculation groups
