Power Bi - multiple data sources - Mixed mode - Direct Query + Import

I have a visualization that pulls data from two sources - Excel and SQL Server database. The developer said the data from Excel is imported and pulled from SQL Server via direct query. Now, when we publish to PowerBi and try to configure the gateway for the database connection I see two datasources listed - the database and the excel file. Does that mean the Excel data is not imported?

Is there a way in the desktop to see what are the datasets in import mode vs direct query mode?
