Power Bi Embedded using Report Server

Can I use Power Bi Embedded on Prem for SQL Database

I have read a forum from 2017 that no cloud means no Power BI embedding

Is it still the case?

It's late 2024 so I'm just checking in to see if this has changed / is planned or is there is still no solution for embedded via on prem server? We already have a SQL server enterprise license on a beefy server and it kills me that we have to pay for a power bi premium service on top just to be able to embed properly.

Hello @myou,

I'm afraid that's still the case. 

You can use Power BI embedded only with the Power BI Service, not with the report server.
