Power BI throws an error while publishing the report - dataset/report is setup with cloud refresh

Hello All,

I have a report which is created using a shared dataset (multiple reports are created using a single dataset), when I'm trying to republish the report from the Power BI desktop it throws an error that says

"A dataset or report named <reportName> already exists and is set up with cloud refresh. You can save this file with a different name and publish again."

I cannot delete the dataset/report and republish it, I have admin access to the workspace but I'm not the owner of this dataset, as it is not configured with my user because it is a shared report but I need to republish it. if anyone can help me with this, that would be great.

Have you found a solution to this problem?

I have the same issue but I can't save with another name and just replubish it because:

• it is shared via Sharepoint and Teams with several people that are using the data visualizations
• I need to make ongoing changes to the report and data since I am implementing new visualizations to answer management answer and can't change a the link every week

Any help is very much appreciated. Thank to whomever can provide a solution (sorry for the Italian in the screenshot)

Hello @Idrissshatila ,

I cannot rename it, as it is on the Production.

If I rename and republish it, then it will get saved as another report which I dont want.

try renaming it then publish it, it will work.
