Power BI shared dataset
Hey,
I have the following problem, and i could use some guidance. I heard the i could use 1 datasets and build multiple reports on it. (it uses the same data mostly, but diferent visuals)
So i have a test workspace, and i created a new blank report. The report contains only the sql connection and imported tables from the sql server, no visuals.
I uploaded this report to the test workspace. I created a new report. (Get data -> power bi datasets). Connected to the dateset i previously created. It worked, i could see every table from the original report, if i changed something in the original it changed here to. So in this report i created visuals and published. So now i have one dateset, and 2 report (1 blank, 1 with visuals). The problem is with my secound visual. I used the some method get data -> power bi dateset, choose the dateset, and create a new report. But when i publish this reaport it creates, its own datasets instead using the base dataset.
Why i cant use one datasets for multiple report? I would like to eliminate the cikktörzs lista_teszt dataset and the cikktörzs lista_teszt should use the template dataset. (direct query is enabled)

Akos07 , Only in the case of Live connect you will not see any dataset created. If you have changed model to direct query, you might see dataset file too
