Power BI report is published but no changes reflected on the Power Bi online report

I have a repot on my power bi desktop version. When I publish the report to BI online workspace it shows me success. But when I checked out my online report, no changes are present over there.

Also I noticed the some changes are present there. Like I deleted a table and it was not present in online report but the conditional formatting which I applied is not there.

Am I missing something?

Any help would really be appreciated.

Thank You.

@Anonymous ,

When you publish to a shared workspace in power bi service there are actually two views of the report. One in the shared workspace, and then if the workspace is published as a app, there is an app view of the report. When you publish from Power BI Desktop I'd suggest clicking the link in the pop up window. From there, you can see the changes. Then, at the top you can click the workspace name. From there, you can update the app. Now the changes will also be visible on the published app.

Hi All,

I just ran into same issues. I have tried all suggestions above but still same.

On my dashbaord i have  build a tiny clock to help monitor last refresh time (as we are running production real time) as seen below:

my problem is:

The dashbaord and clock NEVER gets updates when i refresh the Power BI service but once i go manually to the Power BI deskop i can make this happen. however the BI service still doesnt get the updates until i publish manually.

kindly help with any ideas.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Try refreshing your Power BI service link and check the report again.

Also, add some screenshots for the differences if the above doesn't work.

Thanks,

Pragati
