Power BI displaying COUNT instead of actual column values

Hi All. I am very new to Power BI and it's probably a very basic question.

I'm trying to create a column chart with two columns, on with name sof items and anotehr with the prices for each. However, when I drag the prices column to the y-axis it give sme a COUNT instead of displaying the actual values for the prices. I'm just not able to find a solution to this!

Actually even after removing the duplicates, I'm getting the same issue.

I just want a column with names of bags (x-axis) and a column with the prices of each bag (y-axis). I used the don't summarise option but still no luck.

If there is only one price per item (based on your graph this is not the case) ... then on visualisations pane and on y-axis, click on drop down arrow and instead of count select MAX or AVERAGE

I removed duplicates and the still I don't see the don't summarise option. So I had to pick an option and when I choose average or max, it gives me the correct values. I just don't understand why I still need to choose from these options rather than simply use the exact values.

That's because these graphs show aggregated metrics otherwise on large datasets they wouldnt be able to show all values

What information are you putting on x and y axis?

can you show an example on Excel of how you want the chart to look like?
