Power BI desktop pbix files backward compatibility issues

Hi Team,

I have noticed this strange behavior with Pbix files created using Power BI desktop. We have created data sets and published to power bi online using febraury 2017 version of Power BI desktop. Now, i installed the march update  and when i tried to open the existing pbix files, it throwing error.

This makes us to create the data sets from scratch and republish. Can any of you explain this behaviour and how to resolve this issue,? As it will be a hectic task to recreate all the data sets from scratch.

Thanks in advance.

What's the error message? What are data sources included in your .pbix?

I haven't encountered this issue. If you can't open it with 2.44.4675.521 version Power BI Desktop, please try to download a .pbix copy from Power BI Service.
