Hi @pmumford

If the file was shared (over email or any other medium) then try re downloading it,
or if it was published to Power BI service try re downloading it.
Other common troubleshooting steps are to clear the cache as mentioned in this document
Solved: File contains corrupted data - Microsoft Fabric Community

Perhaps you can try opening the file in a different system to pin point weather the issue is file specific or system specific.

If not, rather than directly double clicking .pbix file, open Power BI Desktop, click File -> Open -> Select the corrupted pbix file. If you can see a yellow ribbon saying “open in autorecovery mode..” Click on it and the file will be opened with the version before it got corrupted. Also, you can go to the auto recovery folder to see if there is any recovery file there.

Another option is to right click the file, then choose [Restore previous versions], and it shows the older version saved before and can be opened successfully.

If the issue persists and if you are sure its an issue with power BI you can trying raising a support ticket

Please let me know if the issue continues after you have completed the troubleshooting steps mentioned above.
