Power BI Theme - Including Common Measures
Hello, currently working on updating the company's PBI theme. I know that a JSON theme file cannot include measures, but we have several measures that are used across all reports and need to be recreated each time. Is there a workaround that would allow us to include these measures with the theme or manage them centrally somewhere else? Thank you.
If the reports are running off the same underlying data then you would do better to create a single semantic model containing all the measure definitions and create thin reports from that.
Not only does that allow easier management of the measures, as you would only need to make a change in one place, it also decreases load on your back end data source as you only need to refresh one model and not several.
