Power BI Text to Date Conversion

Hi , I have Effective date column as General in Excel and it gets converted into Date when I change the data type to DATE. But when I import this file in PowerBI I am getting error as attached. How can I convert the value into date format as all the values are 30/06/2023 and no other values.
