Hi,
I'd like my users to use a data model which i've published to a workspace and also includes RLS.
Is RLS applied if a user connects to the data set via Power BI desktop?
Regards
Dave
Yes, RLS will apply as well.
Ok, however documentation clearly states for the RLS to work the user must only have read access within a workspace. However when a user select the Power BI Service connector in desktop and views the workspaces, the data set doesnt appear. Now i can only assume this is because they only have read access. When i change this to Edit, the user can now see the data set but RLS doesnt seem to apply.
Ideas?
Alternatively, you may make a copy of a content pack.
Hi,
Please can you explain what you mean by making a copy of the content pack?
Ideally i don’t want to go down the content pack route as they will eventually be deprecated.
I mean other users can get the content pack you published and then make a copy. As for the app workspace, you may submit an idea.
