Power BI Semantic Model Not Reflecting Latest Data in Microsoft Fabric
The Power BI semantic model in Microsoft Fabric does not reflect the latest data even after a successful refresh. The data source is updated correctly, but the model continues to show outdated or inconsistent results in the report.
Hi Leina
This usually happens due to cache or storage mode behavior in Microsoft Fabric.
Fix:
If using Direct Lake, run “Refresh semantic model” and then “Refresh report visuals”
Clear the report cache (File → Options → Clear cache)
Verify the storage mode (Import vs Direct Lake)
Ensure no incremental refresh or table refresh policy is preventing new data
Republish the report if changes were made in the model
These steps typically resolve stale data issues after a successful refresh.
