Power BI Scatter chart issues

I have a scatter chart visualization that have fields in both the Legend and Play Axis data fields. In addition to the visual appearing as a slideshow instead of a smooth animation between values of the Play Axis in the Desktop (the Service still works as it should), if I choose a value on the Legend shown, all the "bubbles" that cover the values in the Play Axis appear, connected with lines as shown here:

When I hit the play button, a new bubble appears with a line connecting it to the previous bubble, as shown here:

This issue is present in both the Desktop and Service. The question from me is whether those lines are supposed to appear or not. There is no documentation mentioning them anywhere. If this supposed to work that way, it would be nice, then, to be able to control whether they appear or not in "Format your visual".

that's a feature, not an issue.  Has been there forever.
