Greetings, I am trying to create a relationship between two queries in my P&L (One my Budget and the other my Actuals) wherein i can bring in the Description field for the budget and the Journal Entry Description for my actuals at the GL Account level. Right now i have created relationships at the GL Category (i.e. Payroll/Professional Svcs/etc), Department level, Vendor level, and GL Account level, as shown below:
You can see from what i highlighted in yellow that when i bring in the field (Journal_Entry_Description), it is bringing in all description fields, when it should only bring in the field related to the Actual amount. Similarly with the Budget Description (not shown) the exact same issue is ocurring. There is not an association between the two other than the relationships that have already been established.

Above are the queries and the respective relationships. I have highlited the JOURNAL_LINE_DESCRIPTION from the Raw GL querie & Description from the Apptio FY23 Budget.
Above are the other queries with relationships to the Raw GL/Apptio FY23 Budget etc...
Above are the relationships in table order...
I've tried to create a relationship between the Journal_Line_Description and Description fields but when I there is a 'There is already an indirect relationship...' error message.
My expected result is to be able to bring in the Description field and the Journal_Line_Description field for each vendor/gl account for each specific amount.
Please let me know if you require anything else.
Hi Ahollis,
May I know how you connected with Apptio?
Best Regards
Rehman
