When uploading files to a Power BI report from a folder, is it possible to programme the automatic removal of certain colunms and rows or does this have to be done manually everytime?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @ms166
When you connect to the folder and choose transform all the files are listed like so:
You can choose which columns and files to include before click on the expand icon next to Content.
Once expanded you can remove columns and filter rows in the combined table.
These will be added as applied steps and will be reapplied to the combined query.
Any files that have been added since the last refresh will also be included.
Hope this helps!

Yes, you can automate the removal of specific columns and rows when uploading files from a folder in Power BI by using Power Query.
If this helped, a Kudos 👍 or Solution mark would be great! 🎉
Cheers,
