I am new to PowerBi coming from Power Pivot and Power Query. I am building a matrix tied to data in an Access database. I seem to be missing data in the report but getting it in the data query.
Any help would be great.

That sounds like some sort of contextual filter being applied in the report. Alternatively, with Power BI and matrices, if you do not have values for columns, it tends to drop those columns. For example, if you had a "Name" and 2 value columns, "Value1" and "Value2" like so:
Name,Value1,Value2
Thing1,10,10
Thing2,,10
Thing3,10,
Thing1 will always show up whether you have Value1 and/or Value2 in your matrix, but Thing2 and Thing3 will only show up if you have Value2 or Value1 in your matrix respectively.
Hi JonNixon,
Could you please elaborate more details about your scenario? We need to know that what field you use in Matrix visual and if the visual doesn’t show all rows of data.
In addition, would you mind sharing the sample data so that I can test it?
Thanks,
Lydia Zhang
I figured it out, a simple oversight of a filter..... ![]()
Can u please share your screen image, and what u expecting ?
