Hi everyone,
I have a custom JSON theme file. In the dataColors section, I have my HEX codes listed in a certain order, which is how they will appear in the color grid selector in Power BI Desktop. Like this:
"dataColors": [
"#5C97BF",
"#003470",
"#00AD45",
"#116EC0",
"#3F6C7D",
"#008A3E",
"#768693",
"#B7DC78"
],
What I would like to do is have them appear in a different order when being automatically applied to categories in a legend etc. The reason is that it makes sense in the color grid selector to have your shades of blue, green, grey in order next to each other. However when being applied to categories in a visual I want it to be more random, so that if I only have three categories it is three diferrent colors rather than three shades of blue. Hopefully that makes sense. Any advice is much appreciated!
Thank you!
I do not believe the theme format for Power BI is that dynamic. It is the list of colors you provide, in the order you provide them.
DAX is for Analysis. Power Query is for Data Modeling
