Power BI Embedded

Hello everyone, I have a question:

We have an ASP.NET application and we want the clients to create their own reports (with power bi desktop and connected to our azure database) and publish to our power bi service (they need a PRO account, right?).
Then we want the ability to view and open that reports in our application (with power bi embedded can we access to the service workspace?).
Is this the best solution? (I mean that the client publish their reports in our power bi service) or what do you recommend to accomplish that requirement? From what I understand we need the workspace id, register the workspace in azure and add a capacity to our workspace.

Hi juanivertiq,

Yes, you need a pro account when you want to publish report. When you use "Embed" to embed report in web,  you could only view the report, there is no option to return to workspace.

In addition, what is your requirement? Did you want to embed report in web or want to share this with other users? You could refer to Share Power BI dashboards and reports with coworkers and others   and Organize work in the new workspaces in Power BI  for details.

Hi Dax,

Thanks for answering. I want embed reports in my own web application. But this reports should be created by the user with power bi desktop, the only thing I need in my app is the ability to show that reports.
They should publish their reports in a power bi service workspace? If yes, they should have their own service or they should publish in my organization power bi service?

In other words, I need a way to read all reports that are in the service and show it to the users. If the user publish a new report to the service, then in my app it should appear automatically.

Hi juanivertiq,

As I know, embed and publish to web are only view current report(fixed report), can't return to worksapce. I think if you want user to view reports in workspace, you could use powerbi  service directly or  share the report to user directly . I suggest you also could post this requirement on power-bi-ideas

Hi Dax,

I think we are not understanding each other, we don't want to use the embed option of the service, we want to use Power Bi Embedded but we are not sure if this will accomplish our requirement.

With Power Bi Embedded, is it possible to show all user reports (that are in the power bi service) in our app? In other words, we want to show all of their reports on one form in our app (the user will see only the report name and when click, the report query runs and it will open the report with updated information).
