Hi,
I have a few questions about the refresh options in Power BI report with Direct Query/Mixed Mode.
I am direct querying 2 SQL Server tables using joins(call it Vault).Next, I am creating a calendar table using Calendar function using DAX. At this point the type of connection is mixed and not direct query.
There is a relationship like so (Date from DateTable ->UploadDate in Vault)
(Fig1)
I then used a summary function to group by /summarize (call the summarize table , table A) the the vault report.
The problem is the refresh functionality is not working on the page/tab (shown below) where there are measures built using the summary table A. So the new data is not showing.
(Fig2)
I have configured the refresh like so in the above page/tab
(Fig3)
To debug the issue. I created a new page/tab and put in a table visual, the columns of the vault table and on another tab, I displayed the summary table A (I also configured the refresh for 2 mins for both the tabs). Surprisingly, the vault table is refreshed but the summary table is not!
Therefore my measures(shown in Fig 2) which are driven by the summary table are not updated.
When I click the manual refresh button(show below), everything refreshes with the latest data.
1. How can refresh the summary table ?
2. Does the summary table have to be there on the tab of the Power BI report for the refresh configuration to work? (Which I did above to debug the issue. But it still does not work)
3. Do we have to stay on the report tab for the refresh to work?(or does it automatically refresh even if we are out of the report)
I tried publishing the report on the power BI services but it does not work even there.
I have the premium capacity and the admin has set the refreshes on(seen below):
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Hi @Hussain ,
There are some limitations when using DirectQuery, please check whether you hit any limitation. You can find all the details in this official documentation.

Did you find a way to automatically update the summary Table?
