Power BI Desktop not populating window with available datasets

I am experiencing an issue in Power BI desktop when I try to get data from a published dataset. I have logged into my account in desktop, but when I try to get data from an already published dataset, the window with the title "Select a dataset to create a report" pops up and is completely blank and there are some spinning dots indicating that it's trying to load indefinitely.

I can publish reports/datasets to workspaces from desktop, but there seems to be something wrong when it tries to connect to the service to show me the available datasets when I "get data".

I have Power BI accounts for two different companies I am working for and when I am logged in with the other account I have no troubles connecting to published datasets in that companies workspaces.

Hi @Anonymous,

You can refer to the below link to know the power bi url and port st if your policy and firewall setting block power bi requests.

Add Power BI URLs to your allow list

is this a different tenant? do you have any firewalls that could be preventing this?

Yes, they are different tenants.

It could possibly be a firewall issue, but in that case wouldn't I also have troubles publishing reports? I am unsure how to investigate it further.

it might still be a firewall as different ports are used for incoming vs outgoing as far as i know, but im not a firewall expert.
