Power BI Desktop integration to Web Application

You specified about Visual Studio extension. But I want to know that is there any API or Js file or framework which can help to build Power BI desktop like environment in web application? I am asking because power bi online service itself is an web application and there we can create preport or can do other operations like power bi desktop.

As I know, there is no extension in VS to create powerbi report, we only could embed the existing report in web application. You could refer to Tutorial: Embed Power BI content into an application for your customers for details.
