Power BI Desktop data cannot be exported to Excel

Hello,

I'm using Power BI Desktop Version: 2.140.1205.0 64-bit (February 2025), for a few days now when I'm on a table and click on the 3 little dots then “export data”, I get a loading window and then nothing. The export no longer works, even though I have well under 30,000 rows to export.

Exactly the same operation a few days ago worked, so I didn't change anything. On the online app, no problem. I emptied the application cache and got the same result.

Is this a known problem with the February version of Power BI Destkop?

Thanks for your help,

I had exactly the same issue with this version. I found an older version of Power Bi Desktop, installed it and exporting data works perfectly. I hope they fix this for the march version!!

@matdub40 I can't recreate that issue on my system. That said, the February 2025 version of Power BI Desktop has been a buggy mess in my opinion. I've had a lot of "quirky" issues with it.

DAX is easy, CALCULATE makes DAX hard...

My data universe is on analysis Services and I actually have measurements with “calculate” in them, would that be good related? Should I go back to an earlier version?

@matdub40 If you can, I would honestly. I've seen nothing but problems with Feb 2025.

I went back several versions and I still had the problem, either the window to save the csv never appears or it displays another window on my computer.

I reinstalled version 2.138.782.0 and now everything works fine.
