Power BI Desktop File Size

Hi All,

Currently, my Power BI Desktop file size is 550 MB. I want to reduce it's size for optimising it. Please suggest what all things can be done to reduce the file size. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply. I have 9 tables and it is a Star Schema. There are around 15 columns and 1.2 Million rows in each table.

@truptis I'm afraid we cannot do much with this information. We need it to be more precised. 

Also, I'm kinda surprised to see that all 9 tables have 1.2 Millions rows in each and you say it's a Star schema. Normally, dimensions would have 1-50K rows.

If you want us to take a look at your model, you could send us some pictures of your model with the relations. Explains to us the different tables used and what are the columns in these tables.

You can also answer these columns to help us :
- How many tables do your model have
- For each table, tell us how many row and columns it has

Next, we will ask you more details about the tables where you have a lot of rows and columns.

Thank you for your reply. I have tried this but it has not helped me enough. Although file size has reduced a bit.
