DataSource.Error: ODBC: ERROR [42501] [Microsoft][Hardy] (80) Syntax or semantic analysis error thrown in server while executing query. Error message from server: org.apache.hive.service.cli.HiveSQLException: Error running query: [INSUFFICIENT_PERMISSIONS] org.apache.spark.sql.AnalysisException: [INSUFFICIENT_PERMISSIONS] Insufficient privileges:
User does not have USE SCHEMA on Schema .
While it says that I don't have the relevant privileges, I in fact do. I have granted myself all privileges at both the catalog level as well as the schema level.
Has anybody faced a similar problem?
Hi @Anonymous ,
Based on your description, there are several ways to troubleshoot.
1. For complex systems, generally after granting permissions, it may take some time for these changes to propagate throughout the system.
2. Re-login: Please log out of the database and Power BI, then re-login and try to reconnect.
3. Check role assignments: Make sure your user accounts are correctly assigned to roles with permissions.
