Power BI Dashboard as editable spreadsheet?
I've been bashing my head against the wall trying to understand this. Please bare with me.
I understand that Power BI can take data from an excel sheet (or other DB) and visualize it. There are very basic tools to edit tables inside power BI, but what I'm really looking to do is add a snazzy form inside the dashboard to create new entries for compressor readings. With number pickers and so on. The rows, which will be nested for each compressor, will be editable inside the finished Power BI dashboard. Once a new reading is saved, it goes 'into the soup'.
Is this possible, or do I have to have an excel spreadsheet with forms, then import that data separately. Or is there some other system that I have to use? Are there any examples of similar designs you can point me to?
Thanks in advance
I am using power BI because it is the only database tool besides excel that we are permitted in the organization. So hopefully this can be shoehorned in.
