Possible to display data from the 'last 12 months' with months in the correct order?

I have a data set on which i want to do a 'count by month'. I have a date field so i can filter on year / month.

When i filter out the data from the past 12 months i want the months in the correct oder:

APR17 - MAY17 - JUN17- JUL17 - AUG17 - SEP17 - OCT17 - NOV17 - DEC17 - JAN18 - FEB18 - MAR18

Is there a quick way to do this in power BI?

Hi @RikMertens,

You can try to use slicer with 'relative' mode, it support to filter with specific date period.

Use a relative date slicer or filter in Power BI Desktop - Microsoft Docs

If you use text column as axis , you can try to use sort by column feature to point date column as default sort order.

Sort by column in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

I found this video using "Periods" and Sort by Column that I believe will help solve your issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAxHRD7Lq7I
