Plotting

I have two columns, Dates and NSR. However, when I try to plot them in a visual with Dates being the x-axis and NSR being the y-axis by dragging the NSR into values and Dates into axis, NSR automatically becomes Count of NSR. How do I plot the values as they are instead of them being automatically summarized as count?

I have checked - NSR datatype is a decimal number while dates is date. The number of values for both NSR and Dates are equal (1 for 1) e.g. 01/01/2014 has a NSR value, 01/02/2014 has another unique NSR value and so on and so forth.

I found a solution - merged both tables together using an index column.

Thank you.

Hi @Anonymous

You may right-click the NSR value and choose 'Sum' or others as requested.

Hi Cherie, right now all the NSR values are summed as a value, and hence, when I plot my graph it's a straight line.

As you can see from the graph below. I did the exact same thing for the graph above it and it plots the values nicely, so I'm not sure why this graph doesnt seem to work.

The values are 1 for 1 - there are 27 values in the Dates column, and 27 values in the NSR column.

Hi @Anonymous

It seems you use different tables' date column. There is no relationship between the two tables. You may use add the relationship for the two tables to get the visual.

Hi, I've already done so, but nothing is shown on the graph.

Hi @Anonymous

Only the date column can be linked with dates column.Could you share the .pbix file? I'm afraid you may not get the two tables value in one visual as they have different row context.

I'm not sure what you mean by different row context.

How do I share the pbix file?
