Plot line charts for all categories of a variable

Hi, I am using DirectQuery to pull data in Power BI. I have a variable say Product and I have around 100 listed in it and I need to plot the sales pattern for each Product over a year separately on a line graph. The report has some filters like Date, Customer. The option I can think of is casting the data and make each Product a column and fill sales as the value. Power BI slows down when I try and run R script to transform the data. Is there any other way to complete this task? Thanks

Hi @niharika0913,

Suppose data table looks like:

1.PNG

If you want to plot all sales data for all product, you can directly add [Product] into Axis section and add [Sales] into Values section of a line chart.

2.PNG

If you want to show multiple lines for each product over a year, you can add [Product] as legend items.

3.PNG

If I have something misunderstood, plese illustrate your desired output with sample data and screenshots.

Best regards,
