Hi, I have a large data set with X,Y scatter data. Unfortunately its in the format single rows for each experiment, then columns for each of the 124 data points on each axis. E.g.
ID D1 D2 D3 .... D124 F1 F2 F3 ... F124
001 5 7 11 2 17 18 23 4
Where D1 and F1 are the coordinates of the first data point in X and Y etc...
If I pivot all columns except ID I end up with data in the format below (the first 248 rows are F124-1 then D124-1), but i'm wondering where to go from here in order to get the data into a format where I'm able to plot the an X, Y scatter plot. As a relative PBI newbie (this is pretty much my first go) are you able to help or shed any light on this?
Thanks!
Dear @Anonymous,
Please try following steps and see the attached. I haven't clear idea of your requierment.
Hi @Sansudhi8
Thanks for getting back to me. I couldnt make much sense of what you sent through (probably my faul) so here's a more thorough description of what i'm after.
I have data in this format:
I would like to change it to a format where I can plot D vs F for each set of data, e.g. ID898, 899.
I'm assuming in order to do this i'll require a format like below:
Where rows 2, 3, 4 and 5 are the data for columns D1-4 and F1-4 from above. Does this make sense?
Thanks
