Hi all
Struggling to find the answer to this...
I have set up a custom tooltip from a report page and I wanted to add a pie chart to show the market share of the company when the user hovers over the metric. Obviously, the pie chart then 'filters' to the selection and shows a 100% pie.
I tried creating a new measure with "ALL" on the company name, but that didnt work (very likely I did it wrong - I am very new to Power BI!), so am I on the right lines or is there a different method?
As a follow on question (apologies if not allowed, I am happy to post separately), once I have achieved the desired result above, is there a way to highlight the hover selection, e.g. 'explode' the slice, etc...?
Many thanks in advance
Hi @New_User_Paul ,
If I understand correctly, the issue is that you want to add a pie chart to show the market share of the company. Please try the following methods and check if they can solve your problem:
1.Create the simple table.
2.Add a page and rename the Tooltip 1 pie chart. In the Canvas settings, select the Tooltip.
3.Move the Company Name and Sales into pie chart.
4.The In the Format pane, select Tooltip 1 pie chart Page.
5.The result is shown below.
Alternatively, you can use the following link to learn highlight the hover selection.

Thanks for your reply. I was able to create the tooltip, that works fine. My problem is that I want to show the full pie cart in the tooltip, and rather than it selecting one company (and therefore making the metric 100%), I would like to highlight or display the segment differently, by exploding the segment, or removing the labels of the other segment, or greying out the other segments etc..
For example, if we hover over Comp2 Ltd, it would show something like....
or
I hope that makes sense!
Thanks again
Hi,
I don't think the hover seelction can be highlighted. As for your first question, share the download link of the PBI file.
