Period Filter/Slicer use the value selected in different ways for different visulaisations

Hi   I have 3 tables in my report that are showing MTD and YTD Measures.  In order to show these correctly I need to set the Filter value for Period to "is" equal to the period.  For example is 8. ...

    When you say period it is not clear you taking of custom period. All time intelligence functions work best with date calendar.

    Can you explain your need with better example

    To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :
