Hi All,
I'm looking to create a histogram/bar chart which counts the number of records in that specific percentile. But the issue I'm having is that users can filter the data, the numbers change and the percentile for each record will also change with each filter applied.
For simplicity sake, if I have all years worth of data, but change that to just the current year, the percentiles will change drastically. Data is similar to what you see below but with thousands of records
| Date | Person | Product | Sales |
| 01/01/2023 | Person A | Product A | $1,000 |
| 02/01/2023 | Person B | Product B | $680 |
| 03/01/2023 | Person A | Product B | $350 |
| 04/01/2023 | Person B | Product C | $800 |
I was after something like the below but in a bar chart.
| Percentile (bin) | Number of records in percentile |
| <5% | 3 |
| 5-8% | 4 |
| 8-11% | 6 |
| … | |
| 92-95% | 5 |
| >95% | 1 |
I have been able to successfully create a measure that allows me to find the percentile and group them into their bins, but measures cannot be made into the X-axis of a chart, so I'm quite stuck.
Is what I'm looking for even possible?
Hi, I can't download your file right now, but can you please explain your thought process behind the solution? How did you come up with this?
