Percentage of total column

hi there. I am trying to create a measure to calculate the percentage of each category as follows:

ValidityDesc   Count  %OfTotal

Valid              643          84%

Invalid            99           13%

Blank             22            3%

how do i calculate the values in the last column?

i am then going to create a gauge and show only the Valid category to show that the target is 100% and we are at 84% at the moment.

please help. If you find that a measure will not work in this case, let me know.

thank you

@RedDragon , you create a valid % measure

divide(calculate([count], [ValidityDesc] = "Valid"),[count])

@RedDragon - There is a default aggregation % of total. Also, recipe 7 in chapter 4 of my DAX Cookbook covers percentages: https://github.com/gdeckler/DAXCookbook

Also, since you are a New Member, please first check if your issue is a common issue listed here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Before-You-Post-Read-This/ba-p/1116882

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.
