I'm not sure this can be done, but is it possible to create a dashboard with a parameter in the SQL to a database, then have its value set in the URL that is used to open the dashboard ? I know filters can operate this way, but that means loading all the data and limiting what is displayed. I want to limit the data loaded in the first place.

@Anonymous unfortunately you cannot pass parameters to limit the data load, you only set the parameter value in dataset and that can be used to limit the load ut not with url

Bit of a functinoality gap - especially as I see this can be done with paginated reports.
