Part of Date hierarchical Slicer to be use in a chart

I have a Slicer containing FY and Month Year. This is from a date table and this slicer is a single select mode.

I have a chart with Month Year on the x axis and sum of Sales in the y axis.

The issue I am facing is that since my slicer has hierarchy, i want to select only FY and that in return will display Month Year on the chart by Sales and to ignore the MonthYear on the Slicer if selected as long the FY is selected.

The issue I am have is that if I select FY and select Month year, my chart will return the month year selected but i want the month year ignored but just display all month year in the FY.

how can i achieve this?

Hi @Anonymous ,

It is not possible to get results which does an OR calculation of the values populated in the slicers by default.

In your case, it is suggested to try field parameters.

Then the slicer selects FY, then the x-axis becomes the FY field, and if Month Year is selected, then the x-axis becomes Month Year.
