Parsing JSON in DirectQuery mode

Hi there,

I am still relatively new to PowerBI. I am working with a table that, in one column, contains JSON data in string form. I have found various options to deserialize/transform it, but most potential solutions seem to be unavailable in direct query mode. Unfortunately, the latter is essential for my use case.

Any hint will be appreciated.

Best,

Hi @anne,

As most potential solutions seem to be unavailable in direct query mode, I would suggest you to try deserializing the JSON data on the data source side first if possible. Here is an blog about how to consume JSON in SQL Server 2016 for your reference.Smiley Happy
