I have created a parameter as follow
But i do not have the option to bind a table to the parameter. What's the reason?

What you have created is a Parameter to be used in the PowerQuery layer, like a the connection string for a database.
To access it, you need to go to the PowerQuery ( Home -> Transform Data )
In there, on the lef hand side, you'll see the parameter you have created
Afterwards you can used, for instance, to filter the information of a column in your queries:
