Hi,
I need to make a clustered bar chart which pairs columns in as per the following:
COLUMN 1a (value@Month_x2019)
COLUMN1b (value@Month_x2020)
COLUMN 2a (value@Month_y2019)
COLUMN 2b (value@Month_y2020)
and so on.
For some reasons, I cannot fgure it out. I put values in the Value field, and the date field on the axis. I can select only the relevant months with the filter, but how is it possible to make the pairs (month_x2019 and month_x2020) so that the 2 bars compare one next to the other?
THanks!

It is, thank you. The issue was that my date field was not showing the Date Hiererchy, therefore was not possible to do that.
I managed to fix that (it's enough to duplicate the date column and name it Date_Hierarchy, it will populate correctly with the hierarchy) and now I can buld the chart as in your example.
@Anonymous put year on the legend.

HI, thanks but that does not work. I end up with all the bars stick together, but still following the month by month order - not the one i want to set up.
@Anonymous it is not clear what you are seeing and what you want to achieve? share some screenshot and more details.

I think it should be quite clear: I have a date data field containing datapoints associated to a single value.
The clustered barchart clearly shows me the progression of the value across time: Jan2109, Feb2019, Mar2109, etc.
I want to pair coloums by 2 so that I have: Jan2019,Jan2020,Feb2019,Feb2020, March 2019, March2020.
So taht I show the change month last year compared to month this year.
THanks!
@Anonymous this is how I see it working,
Month on x-axis (not with year, Jan, Feb, March )
and then Year on the legend
andy you will see two bars for with two colors, one for 2019, and for 2020, not sure why this will not work for you.
