Scenario:
I have a Power BI report designed to display student attendance data. The report includes a paginated report visual along with two filters:
The paginated report visual is intended to show a table of student attendance records based on the selected filters.
Issue:
When applying new date filters subsequently, the paginated report fails to update accordingly.
For example, if Student A attended classes until May 1, 2024, and I apply a date filter from April 1, 2024 to May 5, 2024 , the paginated report correctly displays data. However, upon applying a subsequent date filter from May 5 to May 10, 2024 on same student, the paginated report continues to show the previously filtered data row instead of showing blank. (By right the paginated report table should show blank)
***it works fine if data row exist after filter selected, but when it should return empty row after filter selected then the paginated report continues to show the previously filtered data row
Hi @HiHelloWorld ,
1. Ensure that the "Auto-apply filters" option is turned on for your paginated report visual. This setting controls whether the report filters are automatically applied to the paginated report visual. By default, this option is turned off, which means your paginated report visual remains unchanged as you adjust filters in your Power BI report.
Create and use the paginated report visual - Auto-apply filters
2. What is your filter logic and how does it handle empty sets?
Best Regards,
Gao
