Hello everyone,
I have a dataset where our datasource is on-premises SQL Server. We have installed Gateway on the same machine. But when I refreshed the dataset in Power BI Service, I got the following error:
Upon investigation, I found that whenever the table only has text datatype columns, the refresh is successfully completed, but whenever I fetch any column with date datatype columns in the same table, then I get the error.
Then, again we removed the date field and the dataset didn't refresh. It gives the same error every time. I also validated the values and we don't have any blank values or inappropriate values.
Does anyone have the same experience or does anyone identify the error message?
Please help.
Is there any update on this?
Any suggestion would be helpful.
Hello @Anonymous ,
I am using Datetime values as parameters. I have implemented Incremental Refresh, hence using RangeStart and RangeEnd to filter the date column.
Hi @rajulshah ,
This might be caused by the date format. Your date format may be mm/dd/yyyy, but in Power BI Service it was recognized as dd/mm/yyyy. Some date wouldn't be unrecognized. Not sure if this works, but you could try to change the date format through Power BI Desktop reginal setting.
Best Regards,
Jay
Hello @Anonymous ,
Thank you for the response. We changed the date format from the backend. It refreshes for the first time, but when we refresh it again, it gives the same error.
