PBI Desktop unresponsive on save, must be exited in task manager

PBI Desktop (June 2020, issue noted in earlier releases ~April 2020)

When saving, app should display two messages, 'Saving report ...' and 'Working on it', then save successfully and allow you to continue working.

Issue:

When saving, message 'Saving report ...' is displayed, that message is removed, then the application loses focus and can no longer be interacted with forcing the user to exit the process in task manager.

Effect:

The save event does not occur, work is lost between last autosave and save failure.

Circumstances:

There is no singular trigger and can happen on a freshly opened .pbix file, issue is more likely to occur if an item is currently selected (any visual, item in selection list, bookmark, field (measure/column etc), DAX formula box). Not sure is relevant, currently using fancyzones in latest powertoys.

Issue Reporting Capability:

None, application can not be interacted with once issue occurs, must be exited by task manager.

Thanks,

Gary.
